FORT KNOX, Ky.- 5th Regiment Advanced Camp (CLC) concluded their 30-day Cadet Summer Training with a graduation ceremony at Brooks Field July 21.
Cadets of 5th Regiment Advanced Camp stood in company formations as family and loved ones looked on proudly from the stands. The 100th Army band played throughout the ceremony, leading the Pass and Review as Cadets marched in front of the stage for Commander, Col. Dan Kelley to inspect the Cadets. Family and community members were able to see each Cadet as they passed by with their company.
12 Cadets were received awards of excellence from community members with handshakes and smiles. Award recipients were as follows:

Cdt. Joshua G. Hill, University of North Georgia, Apex Tech Warrior Award
Cdt. Zachary W. Niles, University of North Dakota, Armed Forces Bank Award
Cdt. Kelley G. Schofield, Westfield State College, USAA Warrior Spirit Award
Cdt. Coleman E. Merck, Lander University, Military Officers Association of America Award

Cadets were left with encouraging words by Cadre and community members and uplifted in the decision to become an Army officer.
5th Regiment Advanced Camp Cadets will go back to their respective Universities and then be commissioned as 2nd Lts. in the Army upon completion of their degree programs.
